Our name, MAWI, comes from a thoughtful reflection on wellness and human potential.

MA is a Japanese concept describing emptiness in a space, like the silence between the notes in a melody or the emotions in a pause between words.

wi

WI is the perception within that space, like how water flows through valleys, light fills shadows, and the jungle reveals its mystery along the footpath.

We can see a transition in the children’s behavior in this new environment. The children feel like they belong here. They feel very safe, comfortable, and free which is very important for a child’s holistic development. Mawi Design understood the core of what we wanted. The home feels refreshing when I return after a long day. We are able to feel that immediate dip in temperature as soon as we enter the home. The thoughtfulness with which they have been able to bring in that comforting essence of nature with crisp air and natural daylight was impressive.
